We aim to develop in all our pupils the following qualities: Positive self-esteem, confidence, and zest for life. Upright character and a sense of self-responsibility. Courage and determination to meet and overcome challenges. Passion for learning and creativity in thinking. A mindset for continuous improvement and excellence in work. Ability to relate and work well with others. Quest for personal well-being and healthy living. Appreciation for aesthetics and sensitivity to other cultures. Civic mindedness and a compassion for the less fortunate. Loyalty and commitment to the school, community and nation.
After spending many years in the field of education and by observing the operations of many schools here in Pakistan and abroad, I have come to the conclusion that the School’s responsibility in the overall development of children vis-à-vis, socially, ethically, mentally, and physically is even greater than the parent’s responsibility.
Children in a class, come from different backgrounds, but at school they sit in one class and become one unit, so it is the responsibility of the teachers to bring them at the same level during their schooling.
Character building, teaching mannerism and civic sense is also the responsibility of the school, Stepping Stones School gives special attention and time (separate period) to this aspect to ensure that its students standout in the world and can face the challenges successfully.
I believe that English, Urdu (spoken, spellings and handwriting), Mathematics and Science are the basis of education, if the child has a strong base in these subjects, he/she will always be successful in life. Apart from making the education base strong, we at Stepping Stones School make all efforts to inculcate reading habit in the students and then make them express themselves on paper. By the time our students reach Level 7, they would have read the basic literature both of English and Urdu.
I strongly believe in continuous learning, at Stepping Stones School, we emphasis on professional development of the staff, we make sure that all teachers attend the workshops conducted by the professional teacher trainers, so that they are ready to impart education in a better and effective way.
Stepping stones school was established in 1999 as a preparatory school for Crescent Model School and since then has seen a tremendous growth by gaining the confidence of pupils their parents and the community. The School has successfully buildup classes from pre – Nursery to Level X, preparing students for our local matriculation system.
The school is also known as one of the leading schools for preparing children for admission test of Crescent Model School and has been showing excellent results since its first batch of students, the parents have entrusted their trust by bringing their other children to the school and recommending the school to their family and friends, in fact our students and their parents are the best ambassadors of our school.
Lately, the parents have been persuading us to upgrade the school up to Matriculation, which shows their confidence and respect for our commitment of providing quality education to the young children.
